Sage - pyrrolizidine alkaloids

The dried and milled sage is spiked with

• indicine-NO,
• intermedine,
• lycopsamine,
• retrorsine-NO,
• senecionine-NO,
• seneciphylline,
• seneciphylline-NO, and
• senkirkine.

The reference material contains incurred residues of europine, europine-NO, and lycopsamine-NO at low concentration levels of about 5 µg/kg. The incurred residues are not included in the specification. The specification includes the comparability of results (z-score criterion) as well as the trueness criterion (70 to 120 % of the spiked level).
