Infant formula - cereulide (contaminated)

The infant formula is contaminated with cereulide. The contamination is due to arachidonic acid, which is bound to a maltodextrin substrate (according to the information provided in recent re-calls).

Reconstitution of the reference material with water before extraction is highly recommended.

The concentration level of cereulide is 0.815 µg/kg (assigned value in ring test P2627-RT). The accepted range is specified with respect to the comparability criterion (z-score +/- 2). The specified concentration levels of cereulide refer to cereulide in the powder, not in the solution after reconstitution.

Please refer to the specification for more information related to the reference material.

The reference material is available until February 2027 or until out of stock.
