Glycoalkaloids in potato wedges

The EU CONTAM Panel recommended the monitoring of glycoalkaloids in potato and potato products (Commission Recommendation (EU) 2022/561).

The following alkaloids and degradation products thereof are recommended for monitoring:

Commercially available potato wedges are chosen as matrix of a processed potato product.

The matrix eggplant with the parameters solasonine, solamargine, and solasodine was cancelled due to a too low response from participants.
