Quinolizidine alkaloids in lupin flour

A selection of the quinolizidine alkaloids lupanine, α-isolupanine, 13α-hydroxylupanine, lupinine, angustifoline, sparteine, multiflorine, cytisine are covered by this ring test. 

The test material will contain spiked and/or incurred levels of quinolizidine alkaloids depending on the availability of suitable raw material. 

The aim of the ring test is

  • the identification of the quinolizidine alkaloids,
  • the correct quantification with respect to the
    comparability criterion (z-score ≤ |2|), and
  • the correct quantification with respect to the
    trueness criterion (70-120 % recovery of the spiked level), if applicable.
