Ice cream powder - ethylene oxide

The reference material consists of an ice cream powder.

Ingredients of the ice cream powder are powder glucose syrup, dextrose, thickener E410 (locust bean gum), E466, E407, E440, and emulsifier E471.

The ice cream powder is not spiked. It is contaminated with 2-chloroethanol probably due to the ingredient locust bean gum. The assigned value is 0.714 mg/kg ethylene oxide (sum of ethylene oxide and 2-chloroethanol, expressed as ethylene oxide).
